Most Common Back Pain missed by YOUR doctor? Orthopedic Docs in Lawrenceville, NJ will make you the expert!

By PPSM Staff,

Sacroilits, Sacroiliac Joint Pain or SI pain are missed by most Doctors!!

Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Doctors at Lawrenceville, NJ are the experts on this VERY common cause of back pain!

Sacroiliac joint is a small joint in the low back just above the buttocks.  In fact, at our practice, it is the most common cause of buttock pain.  It can happen if you fall on your buttock or just simply lifting heavy boxes off the floor, walking for long distances or for women, walking on high heels all day long!!

The symptoms include buttock pain with pain going down the leg but NO NUMBNESS OR TINGLING IS INVOLVED!!  A common symptom is pain on GETTING UP from a chair or GETTING OUT OF A CARSEAT.

Here is a simple exercise test to see if you have serious SI PAIN!! If you have pain when you do these moves…SEE A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY. You may have serious SI pain!!

Simply stand up an bend your knee and try to touch your heel toward your buttock. If you have pain in the low back and buttock area, you may have SI pain (see the animations below running your cursor over the image)

Also, lie down flat and bend your knee, slide your heel on the floor, then try to touch your heel toward your buttock. If you have pain in the low back and buttock area, you may have SI pain (see the animation below)
